Education & Traditions
Our department offers three graduate programs: M.S. in Physics, Ph.D. in Physics, and Integrated Ph.D. in Physics: you may find the curricilums of these programs here.
By the traditions of our department, each PhD candidate has to pass a Qualifying Exam as well; you may find the details of this exam along with sample questions in this page.
Besides the formalities listed above, an informal yet equally important tradition of our department is to provide our students with a nurturing and sustaining environment. The department grounds is 7/24 accessible to all our students for all their activities such as their group projects, journal clubs, or even social activities such as game nights. This ensures social bounding among our students and researchers alike.
